In a separate incident, footage showed Kanwariyas assaulting a CRPF jawan at Mirzapur railway station over a ticket dispute. Arrests were made only after videos of the incident spread online.
As the Kanwar Yatra continued, similar clashes were reported in Lucknow and Ghaziabad, where vehicles were damaged and routes were disrupted. Officials registered cases where evidence was available, while reactions online remained divided over policing and communal tensions.
